Ellen von Unwerth (Frankfurt am Main, 1954) is a German photographer and director, specializing in female eroticism. She worked as a model for ten years before turning to fashion, advertising and editorial photography.

she became famous for Claudia Schiffer's photographs of her. Her work has been published in major magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, Interview, The Face, Arena, Twill, L'Uomo Vogue and I-D, and she has also published several photography books. She won first prize at the International Festival of Fashion Photography in 1991. </ P>

she did promotional photography for Duran Duran between 1994 and 1997, and did some photography for their 1990 album Libertad and their 1997 album Medazzaland.
