Baby photography
Baby photography holds a certain magic, something that deeply connects with our essence as human beings. As a photographer, every click of the camera goes beyond mere technique; it is an act of capturing time, of immortalizing a fragility and tenderness that are fleeting.
When I look through the viewfinder and see those tiny hands clenching awkwardly, those eyes exploring a newly discovered world, I feel like I am witnessing the purest part of humanity. There are no masks, no pretense, just raw honesty. It is a privilege and a responsibility to capture this unique moment because it will never be repeated in the same way.
That said, I must admit that I don’t align with the trend of photographing babies as “puppets,” wrapped in fabrics that bind them tightly like butterfly cocoons. While I understand the visual appeal this may have for some, I find much more beauty in natural poses. I prefer to capture babies as they are—free and spontaneous—interacting with their parents, feeling the warmth of their siblings beside them. Those authentic interactions, those moments of real connection, seem far more powerful and meaningful to me than any staged setup.
There is an intimacy in the process that transforms me. As I prepare the scene, searching for perfect lighting or an angle to highlight every tiny detail, I feel like I am creating something more than an image: I am building a bridge to the future. This photograph will perhaps become a tangible memory of what was once a beginning—not only for the parents who will cherish this portrait, but also for the baby who will one day grow up and look at this image, wondering how they could have been so small, so new.
For me, baby photography is not a job—it is an act of love and humility. It reminds me that we were all small, defenseless, and full of infinite possibilities. Each click is a visual letter, written not just with light but with emotions that I hope will last forever. And in that letter, I want real moments to be captured—not just beautiful images, but life stories.
