Patrick Demarchelier

Patrick Demarchelier (Le Havre, France, August 21, 1943) is a French fashion photographer.

Demarchelier has lived in New York City since 1975. He married Mia, with whom he has three children.

Since the late 1970s, photographs of him have graced the cover of major fashion magazines, including French, British and American Vogue. He has also contributed to Rolling Stone, Glamour, Life, Newsweek and Elle magazines.

In addition to editorials, Demarchelier has been involved in various ad campaigns, such as Farrah Fawcett shampoo in 1978 and Brooke Shields doll in 1982. He was also the lead photographer for the book On your own, a beauty guide for young women also written by Shields.

he was the official photographer of Princess Diana, after first photographing her in 1989. In addition, he was the first foreign photographer to photograph the British Royal Family. </ p>

From 1992 to 2004, he was the lead photographer for Harper's Bazaar magazine.

Demarchelier was commissioned to portray several models for the Pirelli calendar in 2005. The following year, he was mentioned in the film The Devil Wears Prada. </ p >

On October 13, 2010, the reality show America's Next Top Model had an episode named after him, and he was a special guest photographer for season 15.
