Enrique Toribio

Since the mid-80s, he has combined his haute couture design and pattern making activity with collaborations as a costume designer in theatrical productions of the company «Ensayo 100». Among others, she dressed works by Chekhov, Ibsen and Tennessee Williams, alternating this activity with collaborations with the designer Pepe Rubio </ p>

During that period she also contributed his work as a dressmaker for cabaret and dance shows, both classical and Spanish, and for some film productions.

Since the beginning of the millennium his artistic activity has focused on the universe of images. Proof of this is the exhibition of erotic drawings "Eidolon" (Berkana, 2002).

he entered the universe of photography in 2003 and from that moment he tried to develop his activity as a photographer focusing on portraiture and figure. </ p>

His interest focuses on the aesthetic treatment of the face and the expression and textures of the body, with a desire to recover the traditions of mid-twentieth century photo retouching, renewed by current digital technique.

In recent years he has participated in international photography exhibitions in the United States as well as in digital photography magazines where he continues to show his devotion to the human figure and the portrait or in male body photography publications such as the recent “Turnon Tattoos” published in Berlin by Bruno Gmuender Photobooks.
